Vogue x Alexa Chung for Madewell

In November 2025, SKB Event Shop produced a dinner for Vogue in partnership with Madewell to celebrate the new Madewell collection by Alexa Chung.

As Alexa’s collection was a love letter homage to New York City, the venue options that we sourced were all iconic New York institutions; landing on the forever favorite bistro, Lucien in the East Village.

Approximately 50 guests were hosted for welcome dirty martinis and champagne cocktails, followed by a 3-course dinner complete with Lucien’s famous escargot and steak frites. The splashy evening, complete with flowing wine and cigarette breaks outside in the chilly air, was capped off with towers of profiteroles on each table as well as a mad-hatter style cake to celebrate Alexa’s birthday, perfectly timed with the occasion. Vogue collaborated with Madewell as well as Alexa Chung’s team on a curation of guests comprised of editors, close personal friends of Alexa’s, notable writers, artists, actors, photographers, and Madewell executives. Select guests were dressed in items from the collection, getting a sneak peek of the collection to be released the following week.

Place settings were complete with custom Vogue x Alexa Chung x Madewell butter, along with beautifully scripted menus, crayon-scripted placecards, glasses full of crayons for guests to draw on the paper tablecloths, polaroid cameras, charming bud vases overflowing with anenomes, and beautiful custom-embroidered white linen dinner napkins with adorable sayings like ‘you can keep this’ and ‘thank you for coming.

As a departure gift, guests were treated to exclusive hats from the collection, along with other custom merch by Madewell.
